Welcome from Steve The Swimming Gardener!
(For news on the splash4cash and how it went, got to ‘news’ tab)
Endurance charity swimmer for the Chestnut Tree House Childrens Hospice in West Sussex. As the Swimming Gardener (aka Steve White) I have raised in excess of £20,000 for various causes and am now firmly nestled in fundraising for this wonderful organisation in the Beautiful South Downs National Park.
Previously, I have swum many organised events, the big one in 2011 being the Pier to Pier challenge, swimming from Littlehampton to Worthing Pier and back, some 15 miles non stop.
A unique and unrivalled opportunity for 2013, you could win £1000 of hot lolly!
Happy to announce the Swimming Gardener’s Splash 4 Cash- a new concept in fundraising and a chance to win £1000!
How to win:
You will be asked to predict how many metres The Swimming Gardener will complete on a gruelling 10 hour swim in the English Channel and the into the River Arun in West Sussex. Quite simply, closest guess will take the winners prize of £1000 cash. Sounds easy? Well the swim certainly isn’t, and each guess will cost £10 with £2 going to the RNLI in recognition of their keen support! For more details click here.
The prize fund has been donated as such by two outstanding Sussex Businesses!
The Swimming Gardener has also been successful in securing a sponsored race-suit from Blue Seventy, the worlds leading Open water swimming specialists. This is not just any wetsuit, they have provided their latest spec 2012 ‘helix’ as worn by Olympic open water swimmers worldwide.
Corporate and Local Business:
We have organised this for Sussex Charities, to be carried out along the Sussex Coast. We are actively encouraging businesses to sponsor and promote themselves through this worthy cause, in the knowledge that the funds will directly benefit the local community. Please contact Steve for more details on 07973 662772. Steve will also be available along with the Swimming Gardener logo board for any promotional shots that you feel you could use.
